The corporation's overall mission shall be to help create a better life and community for individuals and families in Volusia County through volunteer services, financial support and educational activities, to raise funds to assist those who are in need, to improve and advance the cause of community service in the DeLand area, and to obtain public involvement and support for community need.
Beginning March 1, 2018, dues are $20.00 per year, which runs from March through February. You can join the Club by paying the dues at one of our meetings or at the Resident Desk (cash or check only). If you join in the fall or winter, your renewal will still be in March of the next year. Visit a meeting at any time by signing up for the meeting and paying for the meal - then make a decision regarding membership!
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Clubhouse Magnolia Ballroom and include luncheon and guest speaker. There may be some variation in meeting dates and times based on the program, speaker availability, etc.

The next meeting of VGWC is December 11. The proceeds from the Annual Charity Auction will be presented to the two charities - Family Renew and Good Samaritan Clinic. We will kick-off the holidays with musical entertainment from our own Victoria Gardens Vee Gee's choral group and you can shop for unique gifts from the Museum Store, DeLand. TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE!! Checks should be made out to VGWC for $15. No ticket sales after close of business December 6.
The Women's Club Winter Warm Clothing Drive began Saturday, November 16. A large box is in the craft room for drop-off of items. Items for men and women may include jackets, jeans, gloves, hoodies, flannel shirts, stocking caps, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, scarves, sweatpants, boots, socks, large-size throws, blanket, comforters and new socks. Distribution to the community's homeless and needy will be made by the Mercy Hour ministry at First United Methodist Church in late November and December. Clothing drive ends Saturday, December 7.
The Giving Tree is now decorated in the clubhouse. All VG residents are invited to take one or more tags to help those in need at Family Renew, Visitation House and Rose Manor. Please wrap the suggested gift item and deliver it by December 17 to the home of Susan Bacotti or Laura Blackburn (addresses and phone numbers posted in the flyer below).
Mark your calendars now!! Mentalmania with Mark Stone is scheduled for January 30 at 7 p.m. This is a hugely popular comedy, mindreading, mentalist show. Tickets go on sale January 8 at cost of $25, which includes complimentary drink and dessert/coffee/tea. Open to all VG residents. Event is sponsored by the VG Women's Club, with proceeds going to two DeLand charities. SEE BROCHURE BELOW.
