Neighborhood Watch Needs You!
Efforts are under way to recruit new members for the Neighborhood Watch Program in Victoria Commons, Gardens, Hills and the Trails. Neighborhood Watch is just simply Neighbors watching out for their Neighbors. If you are interested in joining the Neighborhood Watch program, forms for the program can be found here:

Current Victoria Property Neighborhood Watch Members are requested to update their Neighborhood Watch Information, allowing the police Department to remain current and up to date on phone numbers and E-mail information.

New Webpage starting soon: How would you like a webpage devoted to nothing but Neighborhood Watch information and a way to stay informed? The Police Department will be announcing a new website very soon that will allow Neighborhood Watch groups across DeLand to register with password and encrypted webpage that will allow you to pass on information or learn about incidents and crime that are occurring in the Victoria Properties area. More information on this in the next few weeks.
Daily Event Logs: Daily event logs on crime and incidents handled by the Police Department can be found at the Police webpage listed under Daily Event Logs. The Event Logs are published every day except Saturday, Sunday and some holidays. In that instance, the Daily Event Logs are posted the next working day.
Crime Mapping: Residents of DeLand can track crime and incidents in their Neighborhood by going to the Police Department Website and going to the Crime Mapping. At the Crime Mapping website, residents can register to receive daily e-mail notifications of crime and calls for service.
Active Calls: Dispatch and Communication services for the DeLand Police Department are provided by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department. Residents can go to the Sheriff’s webpage found at www.volusiacountysheriffs.org
There at the top of the Sheriff’s webpage, residents can view active calls occurring county wide and being handled by the Police Department.
Suspicious Activity: if you witness suspicious activity in your neighborhood, please don’t hesitate to call the Police Department to investigate. Suspicious activity can be best defined as anything that just not appear right to your, or causes you to second what I just saw. It would be better to call and report the incident then for a criminal act to occur or figure a neighbor will call it in. If you don’t want to provide your name or address, we understand, We just want the facts and the matter reported. For suspicious activity, please call the Police Department’s Main/Dispatch number at (386) 734-1711.
